Laser Cutting

Laser Cutting

Laser cutting of sheet metal and tubes to the parameters of the part or blank.

The service covers sheet-metal cutting and tube cutting for production parts, blanks and components.

Capabilities

  • Sheet metal from 1.0 to 10 mm thick
  • Sheet size from 1,250 mm to 2,400 mm
  • Round tubes up to 90 mm in diameter
  • Profile tubes up to 90×90 mm
  • Tube length up to 6,000 mm
  • Custom laser cutting of tube blanks, including program development

How to Prepare an Inquiry

  • Send the part contour, drawing or model.
  • Specify the material, thickness, sheet format or tube parameters.
  • We will confirm cutting feasibility and clarify the technical details.

Need a Production Assessment?

Send a drawing, 3D model, sample or short description. We will clarify the parameters and advise on the next steps.

Laser Cutting

What Is Laser Cutting of Metal?

Laser cutting uses a focused high-power beam instead of a mechanical saw or milling cutter. The beam melts the material along a programmed contour while an assist gas removes molten particles from the cutting zone.

A CNC system moves the cutting head according to a digital vector file. This allows complex contours and repeatable parts to be produced without manual marking.

Benefits

Benefits of Laser Cutting

Laser cutting combines accuracy, production speed and efficient use of sheet material.

  • Controlled tolerances for parts intended for subsequent assembly.
  • A clean cut edge that often requires little additional preparation.
  • High production speed for prototypes and repeat batches.
  • Complex geometric shapes, narrow slots and small openings.
  • Cost efficiency for serial production without dedicated stamping dies.
  • Reduced scrap through digital nesting of parts on the sheet.
Materials

Materials for Laser Cutting

Cutting parameters and assist gas are selected according to the alloy and material thickness.

Stainless steel, with parameters selected to preserve the required edge quality. Carbon steel, including both thin sheet and thicker material within the stated range. Aluminium and its alloys. Galvanised steel with controlled heat input along the cut.

AMF Production

AMF Production Capabilities

AMF Production performs CNC laser cutting of sheet metal and tubes in Dnipro. The same programmed contour can be repeated across a batch.

Individual parts and serial orders can be reviewed. Production conditions depend on the material, thickness, geometry and quantity.

Ordering

Order Process

The work is organised in five stages.

01

Technical Data

Send a vector drawing or technical file through the inquiry form.

02

Review and Calculation

Engineers check the geometry, material and cutting parameters before calculation.

03

Machine Programming

A control program is prepared for the CNC laser system.

04

Metal Cutting

The blank is positioned and cut automatically along the programmed contour.

05

Inspection and Shipment

The batch is inspected and prepared for shipment.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Which materials can be laser cut?

The available materials include steel grades and non-ferrous metals. Feasibility depends on the alloy and thickness.

What is the maximum metal thickness?

The stated sheet-metal range is from 1.0 to 10 mm.

Do you work from customer drawings or CAD files?

Yes. DXF and DWG files can be provided for review.

How long does laser cutting take?

Lead time depends on the material, contour length, quantity and current production schedule.

Is serial laser cutting available?

Yes. The equipment can repeat programmed sheet and tube parts across a batch.

How is the price calculated?

The calculation depends on material, thickness, contour length and quantity. Send the drawing for an assessment.
